The Easy Rescue is a personal AIS transmitting beacon with an integrated GPS receiver. It transmits an emergency AIS Search And Rescue Transmitter sentence (MOB) which triggers an alarm on all AIS enabled chart plotters or PC’s within its range, along with the latitude and longitude co-ordinates.
The Easy Rescue can be attached to a life jacket, a belt clip, or a lanyard. It measures 12.8cms x 3.2cms x 7.6cms, and weighs only 350 grams.
The range is between 3 - 10 nautical miles depending on the height of its antenna. SAR helicopter can locate the transmitter even at distances of more than 40 nautical miles.
The battery pack provides a capacity that ensures an operation time of more than 96 hours after it has been activated.
